The commerce engine behind your site: products, orders, customers and payments all live here. Store: woodresinco.myshopify.com (Basic plan). Ownership transfer to you is being completed directly with Shopify Support (ticket 68829802). Shopify Payments was temporarily switched off to allow it, so reactivating it is the first thing to do once the store is yours.

  Where this is up to

  1. Transferring a store to a new external owner cannot be done with the normal in-admin button (it is greyed out by design), so Shopify Support has to action it. We have a ticket open with them: 68829802.
  2. The transfer was being blocked by an active financial product on the store. We have deactivated Shopify Payments to clear that blocker, which is why it needs reactivating once you are the owner (see the next step).
  3. You are copied into the Shopify support thread. If Shopify emails you to confirm you are the incoming owner, or to verify any details, please reply so they can complete it.
  4. We are currently waiting on Shopify to finalise the transfer. Once it goes through, you become the account owner with full control.

  1. In the Shopify admin, open Settings, then Plan and Billing.
  2. Confirm the plan is Basic (or change it) and that the payment method is yours.

  How to reactivate (once the store is yours)

  1. To move ownership to you, Shopify requires the previous owner's payment setup to be removed, so we temporarily deactivated Shopify Payments. Until it is reactivated, the store cannot take card payments, so please do this soon after the transfer.
  2. Log in to your Shopify admin as the new store owner.
  3. Open Settings, then Payments.
  4. Under Shopify Payments, click Set up (or Complete account setup).
  5. Enter your business details and bank account so payouts come to you, then submit.
  6. If you use them, check your other methods such as PayPal are active under Additional payment providers.

  Want us to do it with you? After the transfer, invite us back as a staff user with full access (Settings, then Users and permissions, then Add user) and we will help you set it up, then you can remove us again. We cannot do this for you beforehand, because completing the transfer means we no longer have an account on the store.
